PREBOLD, 9^th of March 2009 - From 3^rd to 6^th of March BISOL participated at PHOTON’s 4^th Photovoltaic Technology Show 2009 Europe. It is the only event in Europe this year organized by the publishers of PHOTON International – the world’s leading PV magazine. The show is the only specialized solar event focused on showcasing the PV industry’s top manufacturers of production equipment and semi-finished products (from silicon to cells, and from slurry to encapsulation foils).

The Photovoltaic Technology Show series drew high-level, trade professionals from around the world. Over 10,000 total visitors came to the show – including investors, analysts, CEOs, R&D Engineers, sales, purchasing, business development and procurement managers – from start-up solar ventures to well established, publicly traded wafer/cell/module companies.

The exhibition was accompanied by PHOTON Academy’s premiere conference series: 

- PHOTON´s 7th Solar Silicon Conference - The latest information on silicon production and the amount of product entering the market were presented.

- PHOTON´s 4th PV Production Equipment Conference (Part 1 – c-Si) – The photovoltaic industry's expansion continues unabatedly. A growing number of investors in the sector are striving to set up their own factories for wafers, cells and modules. The conference serwed with the latest state of crystalline silicon wafer-based production technology, standards and consumables.

- PHOTON´s 4th PV Production Equipment Conference (Part 2 – Thin film) – For the first time it was organized a special conference on thin-film production equipment. The conference provided a special discussion platform on everything from machinery to consumables needed for the different thin-film module technologies.

- PHOTON´s 4th PV Investors Conference – Investment opportunities in the photovoltaic sector are manifold – ranging from starting new firms, to mergers and acquisitions, to solar power plants and classic investments in stocks and funds.
 
- PHOTON´s 2nd Solar Electric Utility Conference – Most traditional electricity companies simply have not considered the pace and scale of the challenges as well as the business opportunities raised by quickly growing PV. This conference was a platform for discussion by all players involved in the convergence of PV and the traditional electric power sector – including utilities, regulators, PV companies, other distributed electricity technology companies, and investors.
